Even before kindergarten,  children begin falling in love with reading.  They learn that books can be funny and silly,  exciting and adventurous,  or even sad!  Falling in love with books is easy,  but what children need to learn is that good readers think and talk about their books.

In order for my class to see the bigger picture of reading,  that there is a whole community of readers out there,  our class has joined goodreads.com.  On goodreads.com,  you can track books you've read and books you would like to read in the future.  Together,  we will work on developing opinions about books we've read to create book reviews.
